NIJHOF CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE LIBRARY | NCIL(M)
OFFLINE LLM GENERATIVE AI aka AI-IN-A-BOX
NCIL(M) | Maritime, a physical edge server onboard a vessel, runs a compact large language model (LLM) so crews can get AI support for instant access to SOPs, IMO regulations, reporting, translations or safety prompts without relying on the cloud or stable satellite links. It deploys a quantised, edge-ready model together with a local library of your own documents (ISM, SOLAS/MARPOL procedures, company circulars) using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and crews access it through a simple onboard interface. This offline combination of compact models + RAG + edge hardware, in conjunction with a sync/update strategy, is the state of the art for seafarers. It keeps sensitive operational data onboard, works in zero internet connectivity environments and brings AI right to the point of work.
KEY FEATURES OF NCIL(M)
